Holland weekend get away
I had a great weekend!!! I went to Holland for a camping weekend with Ritchie and Grace with their chikiting, Lain and Andrew and mag-amang, Kuya Lando and Ira.
We drove later than planned last Friday and we arrived just short after the reception closes. Good thing, there are a lot of guests and they are still open. We had problems with the reservations though; the package that we had paid for wasn’t given to us. We were so upset because we are expecting to have a more comfortable camping site since we have kids but later on, we figured it that it was a blessing in disguise since we really enjoyed our stay there. Good thing, we still have enough sunlight and able to build our tents before dark.
The park is “Duinrell”, it is a camping, theme/amusement park, swimming poll resort all in one. There are bungalows and caravan places aside from the camp sites. And once you booked a reservation, the playground and rides are free. The swimming resort and amusement park has separate entrance tickets. We were given free access to the pools though, due to the trouble we had with the reservations.
After our Saturday breakfast, we went to the theme park para mag-enjoy ang mga kids.
After lunch, tong its muna then I walked around and went up hill
. I know that the place used to be under water and you can tell it by the shells scattered on the road. But still I was surprised to see fine sand on the hill. I went further and saw sand dunes
on top of it. I went over or should I say under the fence to reach the highest
sand dune and from where I stood, I just saw green.
Amazing!
Then, we headed to the pool. Since gabi na ‘yun, We just stayed in the indoor pools which is, slides at wave pool ang attraction. It is damn great!!! Medyo confusing pa mga ‘yung mga arrows kasi it’s pointing on the other direction as you slide down. Hehehe. Hehehe.
Sunday morning, breakfast at Pancake house. It was so yummy, hindi ko na nakuhanan ng pic at kinain na agad. Capuccino na lang!
I must admit that I really like Netherlands so much. Hmm...
After that, we went to Madurodam, Holland in miniature. The dutch boy who, according to stories, tried to save a city from the being submerged under water by sticking his finger in the dam’s hole.
Here you can
see
Holland’s famous,
historical places
and
architecture in
miniature
.
After lunch, we went to Scheveningen port. At last after some years, nakakita na ulit ako ng dagat.
Hehehe.
Makabalik nga sa beach.
