Pahabol sa Surprise!!!

After that surprised advance birthday bash that I had, came my birthday. For the past three birthdays that I had here, it snowed. This is the only year that it didn't. Not a sunny day though. But it isn't cold so it's okay.

I went to work that day even if I don't want to. Sayang! I won't be paid if I don't report for work. I won't be doing anything anyway. I was surprised when Ate LT and Jaz went to my office singing "Happy birthday", my room mate, Ingrid, was also surprised because she doesn't know that it's my day. Ate Elsa and Socky heard them and came to my office as well to greet me.

My tita, Uncle Werner, his brother Michael and I went to Vapiano. I've already told about it in an entry here. I love that place. It's so cozy and the food is just great plus their service is good. It was nice, not only due to the food but also because of the gifts. Hehehe. I received a Hard Rock shirt from Madrid with the "Hard Rock" logo in leather, given by Michael. Had a CD about Egypt, given by my uncle (I thought the Egypt gifts from their vacation there were over. Hehehe). My tita gave me Davidoff Deep. Nice!

The next day, after work, together with Kuya Dong, Ging, ate Babes and Nina, we went to Rohmüller. This restaurant is located along the Rhein river back. It is in an old building that was recently renovated. Actually the surrounding is under renovation. I like its style. The old building was given a tough of modernity. Sayang, wala pang website o picture. Medyo bago pa kasi. It was also a bit expensive but it's worth it. Madami ang serving, the service is good, ambience is nice and you can definitely recommend it to your friends.

Wow! The celebration hasn't ended after my birthday. I'm so thankful and greatful. Ang saya ng birthday ko.

I had a very good year and I know that the next would be as good as it was, if not better.

Sigh...

Grand Entrance!

Our Programme Coordinator will be assigned in Geneva and the Programme has arranged a farewell party yesterday. I was still able to get a chance to meet him personally when a colleague introduced me to him in the elevator. He wittily said "Hello and Goodbye!"

My office is on the top floor (6th), isolated from the whole programme. So, I took the elevator going tot he 2nd floor. I was surprised when I get out of the elevator, that in just one step out of it, I found myself in front of everyone in the middle the incumbent and succeeding Programme Coordinator. A bit embarrassed, I uttered, "Great!!!" They all laughed, not intending to embarrassed me of course. I mean, who wouldn't laugh with such a way to enter a scene. Our incumbent Coordinator tapped me on my shoulder smiling.

Then we had some last words and a farewell gift was given. Then, we had some drinks and Pica-Pica. I was able to meet some of them. Geeze! Our programme is so big, I hardly know and see them. Some introduced themselves to me. I wonder if they got interested because of my grand entrance. I was also able to meet 2 more Filipinos in the Programme. Damn! No wonder there 's a joke about a "Filipino Mafia".

Our team was the last to leave the place. We still chatted while drinking. That was fun! We all had a good laugh. At least I saw the different side of my supervisor and boss, and some of our team mates.I guess this is the first time that I felt I'm part of them. Hehehe. What a pity they didn't included me in the retreat. They could have enjoyed it better with my presence. hehehe.
