Today, I've reached the age of 27!!! I still think that I am young. hehehe
Last Friday, Kuya Lando sent me a message in the office chat. He asked me of my plan after work and I told him that I don't have any except of the usual Friday night choir practice. He invited to go out saying that he wants to unwind before flying this week to Belize. I accepted his invitation even if I already wanted to go home.
I went out of the office at around 15.30 and headed to Bonn. With an empty stomach, I roam the city. I don't want to eat since I know that we'll be eating that night. I just went in and around the city looking for something to buy. I haven't bought any though. Hmm... why haven't I rested in Starbucks?
While in the city, I received a call from him telling me to go to Bad Godesberg, to this Italian restaurant. I hurried going to the train station so I can be there in a few minutes. He is with our colleagues Ate Babes, Ate Dory and Shannon (a Chinese intern who soon will be a Consulatnt). Because I'm hungry, I really ordered a good one. It's a black pasta in curry sauce and shrimps. I had a great time with them.
After that, we headed straight to the church. I was first puzzled why Kuya Lando is going with me but when he told that he just have to meet someone there to get the medicines he ordered, I just kept my silence.
I was again confused when I saw the cars parked in front of the church up to the parking lot. I thought I saw my Tita's car, but I'm not sure because it was just a glimpse. Besides, what would she be doing there. Then, I saw the car of Tito Rey and then Ritchie's and then Ate Zeny's.
Hmm... I'm beginning to have a weird feeling! But I have dismissed it when Kuya Lando told me there might be a meeting. As I went down the stairs, I have heard the choir singing, that's after hearing them making some noise! Then, I saw someone turning off the lights and Tito Romy greeted me. That's the time I knew there is something out there in the room.
When I opened the door, they sang "Happy Birthday". I was so surprised seeing the number of people there. After that, they played the song "Ice, Ice Baby". hahaha.
I can't believe it. I was liked punked. Only that I have a gut feeling that I will be. Geeze, there are a lot of food and I was so thankful about it, I really appreciated it so much.
Before the cake, stands a collage of our pictures and a picture of me (dressed up like a little school girl with make up and all from a short skit we made) from Gunter and Gina. Then I also received a necklace (adding to my collection) made in Palawan from Ate Celia (fresh from the Philippines), a long sleeved polo from Gunter and Gina (they have already given me a calendar having my pictures on it including my studio pics. Thanks a lot!), another long-sleeved polo, but in pink, from the Auxilians (Kuya Consul Gary, Ate Dra. Vita, Nina and Sophia). I also received an envelope with a card and cash in it. Talking about luck! hahaha. Then we all laughed with Ate Jinky's gift. As I opened it, it was a box of Carefree panty shields. Then I put my hand inside my pants, they all laughed, and I acclaimed "Do I need this?" Then I opened it and saw a black material and a panty shield. I first took the panty shield out and showed it to them. They all laughed our loud. Then I took the boxers out and then place the napkin on it. They all whooed! Have I forgotten something?
After that, they have asked some people to say something about me and give their wishes. They have all said every good things about me. Those words are all nice and all praises about me. The I told myself, "You don't know the true me! Bwahahahaha (devilish laugh)" Jowks!!!
Seriously, what they said is true. I'm not just used to hearing such compliments. Besides, I never wanted to look like a good person. I'd rather let others have a bad impression of me then see my good side afterwards rather than the other way around. Anyways, thanks for the compliments. I have also learned something about me.
Good thing, my aunt said that I always have a "toyo" and they should just leave me alone when I have one.
Sophia and Nina gave a dance number and the guests were so amused of them. As Ritchie put a wig on and danced, everybody went gaga.
We finished at around 12 midnight. That was so great! I can thanks them enough.
The day after, I went to work and went straight to our practice (youth choir naman, the other is the adult choir). I have ordered two jumbo pizzas for them.
Before going to Ritchie and Grace's house, I first went to REWE to buy red wine. I saw a 1998 wine and without hesitance, I bought it. I know it is good. I also bought our official cheese, Old Amsterdam. When I got there, they are done with the prayer meeting and are about to eat dinner. We have practiced a few songs and while drinking wine. we first had the South African. That was also good!
The next day, TROPA sang in the mass. We sang good although I don't know why I'm doing some mistakes during the practice before the mass. Perhaps it's because of the new song plus the fact that we, the tenors, will be singing hight notes and are the lead. Not to mention that there are only two tenors. It was still nice though.
After the mass, Ate Christy gave me a necklace and Tita Tuts gave me a bracelet. Jang has also handed me a gift from her, Fr. Jun and Ate Liberty. It was an external pocket hard drive. They know I badly need it because the hard drive of my notebook is already full. Good thing that I didn't bought that. I have already bought a Hard drive though. But at least, what they have given me is portable. The one I bought will just stay at home.
I went to Ritchie's place again that night with Kuya Lando and Kuya Dong. We watch "Cars" while we are drinking my 1998 red wine. hehehe. 'Twas nice, both the movie and wine.
We went home at 22.00 but I slept at around 00.00. Here I am, a year older and hopefully wiser.
Pahabol: Maraming salamat sa mga bumati sa akin. Si karl-bio, ang unang tag-Pinas na nag-text sa akin sa arw ng birthday ko. Sa kaibigan kong si Jay na nag-text sa akin noon pang Biyernes dahil akala niya birthday ko na noon. Kay Gerry, Ira, Mommy, Ate Ging, Ate Babes at sa lahat ng mga bumati na hindi ko na siguro iisa-isahin lahat at hindi ko lahat matandaan.
